The OMK-TDA series are parallel port interfaces for reading thermocouples and other process signals. There are two models available, the OMK-TDA3 and the OMK-TDA8. The OMK-TDA3 has three inputs which can be used to read thermocouples or millivolt signals and two analog inputs that can accept voltage signals in the range of 0-4 volts. Three digital input/output lines are also provided. The OMK-TDA8 is a dedicated thermocouple measurement device that can read up to 8 thermocouples.
Both OMK-TDA series products plug into the parallel port of a standard IBM PC or compatible computer and derive all power from that port making them ideally suited for portable applications.
The OMK-TDA series comes with a standard software package. The software is a Microsoft Windows compatible display and logging program. A Data Plotter is included that allows the analog input values to be plotted versus time. Data may also be logged at user specified intervals in a format which is compatible with most spread sheet programs.
A Windows 16 and 32-bit DLL driver
is also included as well as DOS
subroutines for C and BASIC.
